Indulge in the delicacy and elegance of a chocolate tulip. This refined dessert blends visual artistry with delightful flavors: a thin chocolate shell sculpted into a tulip shape, ready to be filled with mousses, creams, fruits, or ice cream to suit your desires. Perfect for impressing guests and adding a unique touch to festive meals !
Ingredients (for 8 tulips):
- 60g butter 🧈
- 60g sugar 🧂
- 60g flour 🌾
- 2 egg whites 🥚
- 1 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder 🍫
For the filling:
- Chestnut cream 🌰
- Homemade whipped cream 🍶
Preparation:
1️⃣ Prepare the tulip batter:
Mix the softened butter with sugar.
Add the flour, lightly beaten egg whites, and cocoa powder. Stir until smooth.
2️⃣ Shape and bake the discs:
Spread a tablespoon of batter into a thin disc on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 8 minutes. The edges should be golden while the center remains pale.
3️⃣ Shape the tulips:
Remove a disc immediately after baking and mold it over the bottom of a glass to create a tulip shape.
Repeat for each disc, working one at a time to prevent hardening.
4️⃣ Prepare the whipped cream:
Combine 125g of cold liquid cream with 65g of mascarpone and 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar.
Whip quickly until firm peaks form.
5️⃣ Assemble the tulips:
Fill each tulip with chestnut cream, followed by a generous layer of homemade whipped cream.
✨ Enjoy your elegant and delicious chocolate tulips! 🥰
